“Il Granaio” Restaurant offers a retained menu full of meat and fresh pasta dishes with Italian and Tuscan specialties, elegantly served in an innovative, cozy and rustic intimate and elegantly curated atmosphere.
Our goal is to offer some menu rich in typical Italian flavor with revisions by our young chef.
We also offer typical Tuscany traditional dishes, for our customers to appreciate and be pleased, enhancing the tastes of our plates by using only high quality fresh local products.
Il Granaio emphasizes the importance of seasonality of raw and fresh foods, using homemade, healthy and genuine products.
We stock up from small laboratories which furnish us with tasty and fresh pasta, cheeses, prosciutto and salami, last but least, not to forget our delicious Florentine stake.
We also propose vegetarian dishes to meet our costumer’s ethical choices, presenting among other things, a delicious freshly cooked eggplant parmigiana and many other alternatives to satisfy every palate.
Desserts are varied and are different and updated every day, as always in accordance to our philosophy of serving only daily fresh prepared food to our costumer.
Even the wine list we propose brings out the genuineness and territoriality of local grapevines. More than a list, it is a real selection of high quality wines from both large producers and small wine houses.
The reds, strictly Tuscan, range from different production of Chianti, Chianti Classic or Riserva, to some famous bottle of Montepulciano, and several reds like Brunello di Montalcino.
Bolgheri is represented by at least three well known productions, among which stands out the Millepassi of Donna Olimpia, Bolgheri Superiore winner of the best Bolgheri award of 2017. Costumers will find in our wine selection some wine bottles produced restrictively in Tuscany, even though produced with grapes which are not typical of Tuscany, such as Merlot, Cabernet Syrah and Malbec.
The whites include a selection of wines from different production areas in Italy including Prosecco and other white wines, such as Ribiolla Gialla, Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio, from northern Italy, precisely from Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. Moreover, we offer a selection of wines produced typically in Tuscany region, including Vermentino (both from Antinori producer distributed by Bolgheri and Maremma, a small local winery) the sought after Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a rose’ of Antinori produced by Bolgheri and a rose’ Santa Cristina.
Wine list is updated time after time according to seasons and the proposals of our chef, to ensure a perfect harmony enhancing the flavors and territoriality to stimulate imagination and appetite.
